Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Marine Supply Chain and HES Coordinator located in Pulau Indah, Malaysia through November 8, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Marine Delivery Operations
  • Attends to product availability enquiries by customer. Ensures delivery is safe and successful
  • Obtain details of vessel ETA/ Berth/Port Stay/ETD status from vessel agent or Bunker agent
  • Draws out delivery plan schedule and confirmation from Chevron Singapore, vessel agent, bunker agent and transporter. Delivery includes bulk and packaged products
  • Ensures vessel update is being checked twice daily or upon developments for vessel ETA ensuring no possible extra charges due to deferred ETA not withstanding public holiday or plant rest day. Considers delivery optimization in planning
  • Updates firmed order in Chevron's file, prepare Delivery Receipt, Certificate of Readiness, Safety Checklist, Proforma Invoice and forward to respective stakeholders handling the goods
  • Regular vessel status berth updates/check with bunkering agent and vessel agent on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday. In the event of changes, CML will be informed by telecom and e-mail
  • Follow-up with bunker agent for delivery updates via telephone, phone text on bunker activities on all vessel deliveries regardless the time. Ensure delivery is complete as per Standard Operating Procedures, document are update, sign-off and acknowledge
  • Timely update the ordering System “eWave” Delivery Agent tab on every completed delivery task
  • Acknowledges and Sign-off of MLDR is email to CML and “eWave” is updated
  • Processes transport invoices, supported with complete documentation from bunkering agent and transporter
Warehouse Operations
  • Monitors the warehouse performance standard of safety through regular OE engagement and refresher training
  • Reviews operational performance to ensure finished product availability and distribution meets the service level agreement with sales team
  • Reviews the warehouse safety operation by introducing best practices with high safety standard e.g. forklift operation, drum arrangement and etc.
  • Analyzes, evaluates warehouse operations of OE and HES, and recommends solution for further improvement. Periodically conduct assessment on critical work process at the warehouse facility
  • Reviews vendor transporter of PPE requirement, truck safety and conduct annual RTS
  • Lead incident investigation of LPO/NLI/LI and propose solution, mitigation and monitor agreed solution and implementations
  • Work closely with the local and leadership team to ensure adequate resources are available to efficiently implement and sustain the OE & HES Programs
    • Responsible for the deployment of the Safe Work Practices and High Risk work processes
    • Responsible for the deployment of all OE & HES compliance policies and procedures and ensuring adherence
  • Lead the process in liaising with government agencies to ensure alignment with rule and regulation e.g. securing permits, custom clearance etc.
  • Conducts Job Loss Analysis for medium and high risk areas
  • Initiates and supervise all improvement work done by contractors at location to ensure safety and HES is adhered to Chevron standard
Operational Excellent Management & HES Coordination
  • Provides working knowledge and support of Leadership Accountability behaviors with lubricants leadership team
  • Develops and conducts facility HES inspections and reviews
  • Participates in incident investigation and reporting whenever assigned to do so
  • Provides key support in the implementation of Emergency Management (EM) requirements and initiatives at the plant facility. This includes performing EM roles and responsibilities that may be assigned to this position
  • Conducts onsite HES inspections and acts as an extension of the frontline supervisors by enforcing Safe Work Practices requirements
  • Participates in site safety planning and hazard assessments for critical or high risk activities
  • Mentors workforce at the site on safe work practices and procedures
  • Communicates critical gaps observed, at-risk actions and conditions. Recommends or takes necessary corrective actions in conjunction with the supervisor-in-charge
  • Analyses critical findings and trends to determine root causes of observed gaps and most effective mitigating control. Regularly reports findings and recommendations to Logistics Supervisor
  • Tracks critical action plans and verifies with responsible personnel if completed items are adequate to mitigate risks
Vendor Contract Management
  • Assists detail documentation on technical specification and requirements in transport vendor –Request for Proposal (RFP) Open tender scope of works
  • Assists  to  runs  Sensitive  Transactions  Approval  and  Reporting  System  (STARS)  approval submission for vendor’s contract renewal.
  • Assists to complete semi-annual Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing and documentation processes
  • Assists to validate transport vendors KPI and safety requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics & Operations Management, or Business Administration
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Effective communications skills
  • Good planning and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in supply chain management, oil terminal operations or related fields
  • Proficient in SAP or similar system
Relocation Options:
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
International Considerations:
Selected candidates will work in Malaysia under the local payroll system and benefits.
