Primary Duties
  • Develop and maintain high level, medium and short term planning for all disciplines related to project/asset activities particularly pertaining to pre-FEED & FEED activities on New Field Development projects
  • Interface among Subsurface, Drilling & Surface Facilities to incorporate major key activities planning into the Project/Asset integrated planning
  • Provide a proactive planning service to support all phases of project work.
  • Provide resource planning, scheduling and allocation; detailed plans and the appropriate progress reports
  • Develop plans for major projects and shutdowns
  • Ensure accurate integrated project plans are maintained and communicated to all levels for the production/operations/maintenance
  • Communication with external supplier’s contractors/vendors for planning progress information and feedback
  • Manage the interface between the planning applications and the maintenance management systems
  • Ensure the delivery of materials and equipment in line with the plan
  • To collate and provide periodic status reports to the Development/Asset Manager
  • Ensure short-term critical tasks are reviewed on a priority basis
  • Ensure plans are co-ordinated with all disciplines
  • Any other instructions deems necessary by the management in order that the project being executed within the specific time, cost, performance and quality without jeopardizing the health safety and environment.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Shall hold at least a Degree in engineering or technical course from a recognised institution
  • Has worked 8 to 10 years in the upstream offshore oil & gas environment; experience in integrated project/asset planning is a strong advantage. Considerable exposure to operating upstream oil & gas facilities is highly desirable the exposure provides the incumbent valuable insights and appreciation for the tasks involved in daily offshore routines/project environment
  • Should be familiar with planning tools to generate integrated project/asset plans, production profiles and communication packs for distribution to stakeholders knowledge of Primavera (P6, preferably) is essential. Plans from the various disciplines/projects/assets shall be rolled up into one integrated plan
  • Should be able to exert influence over the Project/Assets’ Planners in getting the inputs required for the NFD activities. Likewise, ability to relay information up and advice Management to arrive at a decision is a key function of the role
  • Should familiar with PETRONAS Milestone Review Process & Internal Project Gate Reviews
  • Good communication across all levels in the organisation and good presentation skills
  • Ability to plan and coordinate as well as prepare management reporting
  • Ability to response to Project and Asset’s specific request with a sense of urgency
  • Possess the inner drive to ensure requests are being responded to in the most efficient manner
