Job Description

  • Before the operations (key focus):
    • Update, develop and implement the relevant HSE procedures and standards in compliance with the latest TOTAL’s HSE Management System and PETRONAS Procedures and Guidelines for Upstream Activities (PPGUA). In particular:
      • TEPMY HSE Management System;
      • TEPMY Emergency Response Plan;
      • TEPMY Oil Spill Contingency plan;
      • The Environmental & Societal Impact Assessment (ESIA).
    • Review CONTRACTOR Safety documentation to ensure it complies with COMPANY requirements, contractual agreements & Company Codes of Practices
    • Prepare and coordinate an emergency exercises
  • During the operations
    • Provide HSE support to the technical disciplines and their representatives in the Affiliates and follow-up HSE performance of contractors
    • Support implementation of incident reporting & investigation in area of operations. Produce statistics to understand incident trends
    • Coordinate tracking and close-out of HSE corrective and improvement actions in area of operations.
    • Monitor schedule waste disposal and traceability
  • Carries out assurance (including audit) activities to demonstrate compliance with procedures/standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist Drilling and Logistic Operation Safety Leaders with specific safety campaign / initiative socializations
  • Acting as the Company HSE representative vis-à-vis stakeholders and authorities such as Government authorities, PETRONAS, other Operators and Vendors
  • Advising TEPMY management on security aspects: introduction and development of crisis management systems and coordination of the preparedness of the relevant personnel

Profile sought

  • Engineering Degree
  • 10 years of experience in Drilling and/or Production Operations in oil & gas industry (preferably exploration); or, 5-7 years Drilling and/or Production experience with 2-5 years operational HSE experience
  • Knowledge of PPGUA
  • Well versed with HSE Management systems and procedures;
  • Familiar and able to write the Emergency and Oil Spill Contingency plans
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Team player
