Communications/ Radio Officer

Job description

Wood Group have an immediate requirement for 2 Communications / Radio Officers to join their team offshore in the North Malay Basin.

The successful candidates will be mobilising out of Kota Bharu, Malaysia and will be required to maintain communications with marine and air band users and record movements of personnel and helicopters within the field in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Hess Safety Management system and to comply with all statutory requirements.

The list below details the Key certifications required by personnel applying to this position  

  • At least SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) qualification or equivalent
  • Possess a valid medical passport, HUET/BOSET
  • Possess a valid Global Marine Distress Signal System (GMDSS) Certificate

Cargo Technicians

Job description

PLEASE NOTE:

**At this time, we will only consider applications from Malaysian citizens**

Wood Group have an immediate requirement for 2 Cargo Technicians to join their team offshore in the North Malay Basin.

The successful candidates will be mobilising out of Kota Bharu, Malaysia and will be required to monitor, control and operate the marine and cargo operations efficiently, ensuring all procedures are adhered to and all defects are reported to the Offshore technical lead. To ensure a proactive and continuous approach to safety.

  • Minimum Diploma or possess BTEC/ONC or Technical Certificate/Diploma/Higher National Diploma
  • STCW Certificate of Competency as a deck Officer (Unlimited tonnage and area), or equivalent marine certification
  • Tankerman certification (STWC)
  • Supervisory experience at deck Officer Level or above in the Merchant Navy or Line supervisor of marine team on an offshore installation

Crane Operator

Job description

PLEASE NOTE:

**At this time, we will only consider applications from Malaysian citizens**

Wood Group have an immediate requirement for 4 Crane Operators to join their team offshore in the North Malay Basin.

The successful candidates will be mobilising out of Kota Bharu, Malaysia and will be required to undertake the following tasks:

  • Ensure safe operation of facility cranes within capacity and operational constraints, and efficient utilisation of deck space. Operational checks and front line maintenance of facility cranes.
  • Operate the cranes by loading and unloading all types of material and equipment from Supply Vessels in accordance with specific lifting procedures. Transports under special circumstances (bad weather conditions) personnel by basket from mains platforms to boats and vice versa. Includes following up on movement of material between the different locations on the facility to ensure they are placed at the right destinations.
  • Carry out all lifting operations in accordance to safety rules and company regulations. Provides overall oversight of lifting operations, lift plans and reviews.

Bosun/Crane driver

Job description

Wood Group have an immediate requirement for 4 certified offshore Bosun/Crane drivers to join their team in the North Malay Basin on a 2 weeks on 2 weeks off rotation.

The successful candidates will be mobilising out of Kota Bharu, Malaysia and will be required to hold the following certification:

  • Valid Crane Operators Certification 
  • Valid Rigging Certification 
  • VHF Marine/Helicopter Certificate 
  • Valid Rigging Certification 
  • FPSO experience (desirable)
